The suspect, who shouted "Free Palestine" during the attack, has been identified as 45-year-old Mohammed Sabri Soliman, and is currently in custody after being injured during the attack. A preliminary investigation has determined that the attack was a targeted attack and the FBI is investigating it as a terrorism case. Boulder police said they have not identified any additional suspects and the motive is still unknown.
